Our story
Welcome to Homestead Farms! We are a family-run flower farm, lovingly tended by three generations. Together, we care for over 1,000 peony plants on our 2.5-acre farm in South Langley, BC.
How It All Began
We bought our farm in 2024, with fields of 3- and 5-year-old peonies already in place.
At the time, I had been joking with my husband that there was no way he’d ever get me to live on a farm. Milking cows? Tending goats? Baling hay? No thank you.
But then… I found this flower farm for sale.
Our Vision
The day we walked the property for the first time, I could picture it all:
Rows of peonies ready to bloom.
Long-table dinners with friends in the field.
Kids playing on the garden swing and tossing cornhole.
Wine around the firepit at golden hour.
It didn’t take long to convince me — this was my kind of farm life.
Together with our parents, we decided to embrace life on the flower farm.
How We Grow
Homestead Farms is now our family-run flower haven, growing some of the most gorgeous peonies in the Lower Mainland. This isn’t just a business — it’s a true labor of love.
Our peony roots come from a trusted local producer (and beloved neighbour!)whose plants are distributed across North America, including to retailers like Trader Joe’s. In 2025, we planted an additional 100 roots of our most popular varieties, increasing our capacity to bring even more of your favourite peonies in the seasons ahead.
We walk the fields year-round, hand-weeding, tending, and cultivating each bloom with care, patience, and sustainability in mind. We believe the most beautiful flowers are the ones grown gently and gathered by hand.
Looking Ahead
Our 2025 season was a smashing success, and we can’t wait to welcome another incredible peony season in 2026.
